Hello Everyone, as you may or may not know,  I was invited to cover the red carpet for RIP THE RUNWAY .  I was pretty excited to attend.  Everyone on the carpet was cool and the staff treated us well, making sure we all got our interviews and water if we needed.    In addition, I was able to watch the show. Janet Jackson has been making her rounds at fashion week.   She was seen at Vivienne Westwood and Todd Lynn just to name a few.   She’s rocking her older, business casual chic look, natural makeup and her real hair. Definitely getting older, but still a banger.    Ugh , what a class act

Everyone knows we at FresherThanChris.com are big fans of Janet Jackson and icons.   When we heard that she was working on a new album, we were pretty excited.    Elated even.  At any rate,  Rodney Jerkins has leaked a new song featuring Pitbull and Machel Montano.   Our sources have told us that this song isn’t a single, but just a treat for the fans.   I dig it the more I listen to it,  but its definitely not a favorite of mine.

Perry Ellis is a one of the most influential and classic brands in menswear.    Unlike many brands,  the collections year after year continue to impress and given new ideas and options in menswear.  Perry Ellis has totally revamped and re-energized their brand.  This collection was an example of that.   From its use of snakeskin and leather,  to its colorful shawl collar sweaters and use of suspenders,  Perry Ellis provided a young, youthful and classic menswear show.    Check out the pictures below and see for yourself.

I dont’ swear by many products, especially products that have extreme promotion.  However, I’d be doing my viewers a great diservice if I didn’t discuss Dove for Men.   Its a great cleanser that gives you the great feeling of regular DOVE but still leaves you feeling masculine and fresh.

Showroom Antwerp hosted a lovely brunch in the New York Times Building.   The showroom showed several collections including cocktail dresses, classic menswear pieces and some neckwear.  Check out the pictures below of the whole scene, as I show a glimpse of the fashion scene outside of the tents.

Rihanna has released the fourth single off her “Rated R” cd.   This track was an instant standout to me when I first hear the CD.  Though I always pictured this single being released in the summer, I really am happy that they have released this track.  The video was directed by Melina and once again doesn’t disappoint.   Channeling her dancehall roots and even giving us a taste of the old Rihanna in one clip, I was completely excited.    I still am.   Check it out for yourself.
