Todd Lynn Fall 2010

London Fashion Week is well underway and the collections are nothing short of spectacular.   The designer’s pieces were recently featured in Janet’s “MAKE ME” video.  This collection of men’s and women’s pieces were all about jackets, fur and shoulder detail.   I absolutely live for this collection.  The color palette is natural, black with pops of green and amber.   Its a great collection and I look forward to seeing it on a few starlets and future fashion kings.

3.1 Phillip Lim

Phillip Lim’s Collection is best described as the “urban adventurer”.   I really enjoyed the collection.   The collection is filled with large overcoats, buckle, knee high boots, leather gloves, fur and quilted vests.  Check the collection and see for yourself.

Perry Ellis

Perry Ellis is a one of the most influential and classic brands in menswear.    Unlike many brands,  the collections year after year continue to impress and given new ideas and options in menswear.  Perry Ellis has totally revamped and re-energized their brand.  This collection was an example of that.   From its use of snakeskin and leather,  to its colorful shawl collar sweaters and use of suspenders,  Perry Ellis provided a young, youthful and classic menswear show.    Check out the pictures below and see for yourself.

Marc by Marc Jacobs

This collection shows how to make military inspired clothing that is still sexy, fashion forward and fresh.  Check the collection below to see some of the highlights from the mens pieces at the Marc by Marc Jacobs collection.  I really love the feel of this collection.   There are no surprises though, but its a solid effort.  Especially love the fuller leg of the suits toward the end.

Thom Browne Puts It Down

Its no secret that Thom Browne is one of my favorite designers.   I know his clothes are often ridiculous and unwearable, but thats why I enjoy his collections so much.   This collection is clearly an expression of his sense of humor and his love for “pushing the envelope”.  The collection showcases topcoats, suits, corsets, patches, fur, and long sweaters that are close to being a dress.   Yet, the collection is cohesive, masculine and fashion forward.  Check it out below
