So, plus size models have been dying to break out into the mainstream arena in fashion. V Magazine, known for pushing the envelope has decided to showcase Plus Size models. Check out a few shots from the upcoming issue and decide for yourself. Personally, I still think they went a little safe on the looks. IN addition, I find the bigger girls to be, well, distracting from the clothes. Instead of focusing on the draping, I’m seeing rolls.

this is a great post man. i think plus size models need to get their respect becuase the refugee camp look is not sexy. if you are natually skiiny cool bcuz I knew models that can eat 2 large pizzas and not gain weight but it’s sad when beautiful women destroy their bodies through starvation and other unsafe methods
i think your point is proven in that 2nd shot, but as for the others, i actually really like the shoot. alot of the time, bigger women look even bigger because of wearing clothes that don’t fit well.
I think pic 2 is definitely not the most flattering pose for her body shape. I can think of at least 3 poses that would have hidden that roll, and showcased the suit.
Models are to be hangers for fashion designers not mattresses for sheets! Thats why a big girl is not the ideal model! Models are not ment to be sexy but more showy and all I see showing on these chicks is the obvious….
