Worst Red Carpet Looks of the 2000’s

Fashion took a major hit this decade.  Some of our most favorite artists made some major missteps on the red carpet.  It was hard to choose just 9, especially when so many artists were repeat offenders.  At any rate, check out the list below and see who made it on the worst red carpet looks in the 2000’s

9. Janet Jackson- Clive Davis Grammy Party in 2005

Sigh,  As much as I dont want to put Miss Janet on here.  She doesnt always have the hits (on the red carpet).   Janet donned this pink tutu “ITS MY sweet 16 party” dress and rocked it with shiny pink boots.   Her makeup looks like its done from the “MORTICIA” for “MAC” .  SADNESS…

8. Alicia Keys - Grammy’s PressRoom

2950558

Fresh after a performance in 2004,  Alicia Keys was still on her “i’m different cause I rock pants” movement and wore this ensemble that WORE ME OUT.   Nevermind her “AUNTIE MAE” hairstyle, the bedazzled strap and denim combo is a major fail.   Good to know this look has “FALLEN” to the waste side.

7. Kanye West - 2006 Grammy’s

LEISURE GRAMMYS

I’m not sure how Kanye managed to rock two consecutive outfits that didnt work, but what can I say, he’s uber talented.    The first look was him attempting to fuse Prince, Michael Jackson and matador all in one.  His white shirt was buttoned all the way low and was a major fail.

6. T-Pain -ALL THE TIME

T-Pain wanted to prove to everyone, everywhere.. that its okay to be coontastic.  Rocking a ridiculously large top hat, a red leather blazer jacket and coming on an elephant. He showed that when it comes to fashion, he is indeed a clown.

5. BEYONCE- GRAMMY’s 2009

Back in the day, your mom used to pick out all your favorite clothes.   But as you get older, you have to start dressing yourself.  A lesson that Beyonce has yet to learn.   She rocked her mom’s design to the Grammy’s in 2008, looking like a vase. The material looked like it was made of curtains in their Houston Home.   She had no earrings due to them “breakin before she hit the red carpet”.  FAIL

4. Toni Braxton- Grammy’s 2001

Toni Braxton was once the queen of the red carpet.   Every major designer wanted to dress her.  Then a woman named JLO came and shut down the game with her Versace Dress. Desperate to remain relevant,  Toni rocked this Richard Tyler dress that like her albums to follow, received very little acclaim.   Damn Toni, in 90’s you were the queen, Toni.

3. Christina Aguilera- Blockbuster Awards 2001

78932597

*SIGH* Most of this women’s outfits belong on the list, but this outfit is just… not what a girl wants or what a girl needs.  I can’t even say anymore, except that whoever told her this was okay should be stripped.   They definitely did her “DIRRTY”

2. Beyonce VMA’s 2004

93549779

While I encourage people to “GO FOR THE GOLD”, when they get dressed,  I really didn’t think they would take it so literally.  I don’t know what to say about this outfit except that it’s a absolute disaster.  Of course, it was sewn and designed by Miss Tina Knowles. She sorta looks like a cross between Farrah Fawcett and Miss Piggy.    FAIL.

1. Bjork-
